Did you know that Mellow Mushroom opened in Atlanta in 1974?
This Mellow Mushroom is the only one I’ve been to, it’s located down the street from Texas Christian University College so it’s a great area to hang out after eating with a lot of places to check out. Besides its great location and friendly staff, the pizza is even better.
I had the Mighty Meaty which has a red sauce base with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, ham, and applewood smoked bacon crumbles. Not only does it have bacon crumbles it has strips of bacon! You don’t see that on pizzas everywhere.
Mellow has more than great pizzas. As I was leaving this afternoon I noticed a table next to us someone ordered the “Sausage Fest” Calzone, and it was enormous in size. You can check out there menu here to see everything they have.
