I have big dreams for this project in the years to come. Right now Grilling For God is just a Facebook Group, but eventually, I want this to become a ministry.
In August 2019 this idea came to me while driving into the office. We had just launched our first season of groups at Trademark Church and I was leading a BBQ group. My vision for this ministry in the years to come is to grow a group of people that are passionate about grilling, smoking food and serving people just as much as I am so when a disaster hits a community G4G (Gilling For God) would come together grills and smokers loaded and hitched up ready to go get food and go where the first responders and people affected that need to eat are. My goal is not to feed these people hot dogs and burgers, I’m talking about LEGIT TEXAS BBQ and all the fixings.
I have been praying since God put this idea into my heart. Then this weekend, while I was smoking a pork shoulder and listening to the news about the COVID-19 pandemic we are all currently dealing with, I decided it’s time to start this dream with a simple FaceBook group and to start building this community now.
